IOKA means Welcome in a long ago Massachusetts indian tribe's tongue.  Why "IOKA Pottery?"... A well weathered IOKA sign hung over the door of our little cottage on the Westport River at my grandfather's dairy farm, where I spent summer weekends with my family. Some of my happiest memories and therefore maybe my creativity spring from summer bliss at this special place. So... IOKA!
